A~ing!: Do you know AKB48?

Well, AKB48 is an all-female Japanese theater/idol group produced by Yasushi Akimoto. AKB48 is theater-based and has its own theater in Akihabara (a district in Tokyo). AKB48 currently holds the Guinness World Record for being the "Pop group with the greatest number of members".

AKB48 is divided into three teams: Team A, Team K and Team B. There are a total of 56 members as of April 9, 2011, with 16 members each in team A and K, 15 members in team B, and 9 members without team assignment, 8 of those promoted on December 8 and one on February 12, 2011. Minami Takahashi is the captain of Team A, as well as the de-facto leader of the entire group, Sayaka Akimoto is the captain of Team K, and Yuki Kashiwagi is the captain of Team B. Okay, i like their songs, and their music videos are cool too. The first music video of AKB48 that I saw was Chu Shiyouze! (チューしようぜ！). Well, on this video AKB48 and Idoling!!! worked together. So, they're called AKB Idoling!!!. It's not really my fave, here is the video

Now, let's talk about the members of AKB48. I don't know all of them honestly, because there are 56 members of AKB48! But I know some of them.

Minami Takahashi (高橋みなみ, born April 8, 1991 in Tokyo). She is currently the captain of team A.

Atsuko Maeda (前田敦子, born July 10, 1991 in Chiba). I thought she's the leader, because on the videos she's usually the main role (~~I think~~).

Haruna Kojima (小嶋陽菜, born April 19, 1988 in Saitama). She was my fave, i saw her in Gokusen 3 (Japanese drama). Yeah, she's pretty.

Yuko Oshima (大島優子, born October 17, 1988 in Tochigi). She's really cute when she smiles.

And, my fave member is Mariko Shinoda (篠田麻里子, born March 11, 1986 in Fukuoka). I think, she is the tallest member of AKB48 (~~sorry if i'm wrong~~). She is really cool, and she looks better with short hair.
